Greek mythology is a compilation of the ancient Greek stories that are based on their culture and practices. Each of the Greek myth has a message through the stories that are written. Their stories are about gods, goddesses and heroes. Many Greek mythology have a great deal of influence on our culture. There is something uniquely different about each of the Greek myth, each have their own message that it wants to deliver. I'm going to share a story that is a myth. For example The Greek myth Goddess Athena and Arachne. I think this kind of story was the best for all the myth that I've read.
Are you familiar with this story?
If not, I'm sure you will learn a lot from this.

Based on the story there was a young maiden that went against the goddess Athena. She thought that she was the best in the art of weaving, because of the praise that she received from the people who admire her ability. One time she heard some murmurs came from the people who’s watching her.  She stopped her work and turn around indignantly to say “ With my own ten fingers I gained this skills and by hard practice from early morning till night. I never had time to stand looking as you people  do while another maiden worked. Nor if I had, would I give Athena credit because the girl was more skillfull than I? As for Athena's weaving, how could there be finer cloth or beautiful embroidery than mine? If Athena  herself were to come down and compete with me, she could do no better than I”. According to her reply she was trying to say that her skills wasn’t came from Athena. She gained her skill because of her hardwork. Arachne challenged Athena for a contest. When they were in the battle Athena was quicker, her border was a twined branched of olives that’s her favorite. Athena was angry with Arachne because of the maiden’s pattern of scenes which should be evil. Before Athena turned Arachne to a spider the goddess left Arachne a message that, when men look at Arachne they may remember that its not good to strive her.
From this story it teaches us the good, the poor or bad quality of a certain god. The goddess should not be jealous especially to a mortal. Therefore the moral lesson of this story is. You should not be jealous to someone who’s better than you rather take it as a motivation, for you to grow or to get better and also too much pride will lead to your down fall.

Honestly, I found Arachne's character really interesting even-though she’s a boastful person. Here’s the reason why she’s very industrious, she never losses hope that she can be a professional weaver, she is a brave girl and she doesn't feel any fear when she challenged Athena. Everybody knows that Athena is a goddess but Arachne didn’t care about it. She would do everything just to verify that she’s better than Athena even though she’s only a mortal and her opponent was a goddess.

This kind of story is needed by a person who has too much confidence about themselves. Because sometimes they’re going to be arrogant and they think that they're the best in the whole world. I believe that when they're going to read this they will become humble and a better person. And they’re going to accept the fact that there’s more intuitive than them. And it teaches us the good deeds and wrong doings of gods and goddesses. And as a human being we should act evenly.

Our Lord gave us a certain talent and knowledge. Always remember that we should not boast on anything and everything that God has given us. Rather, we should be thankful, and share it with other people in the glory of God. So my conclusion is, Life is not fair, In order for us to be a better person. We should strive hard in every aspects of our lives.
